FEBRUARY 3

MEAL AND CAKE WALK, 6 p.m. sponsored by the Pamplin Area Legacy Supporters (PALS) featuring Farm Use Old Time String Band. Meal will include gumbo, shrimp, red beans and rice, pickled okra and King Cake.

FEBRUARY 4

YOUTH SUNDAY AND BLACK HISTORY MONTH, 11 a.m. at Midway Baptist Church, 837 Guinea Road. Guest will be the Honorable Megan L. Clark, Commonwealth’s Attorney for Prince Edward County. The attire for the service will be Favorite Team Jersey and Casual Day. All are welcome.

BLACK HISTORY CELEBRATION, 3 p.m. at The Gill Hill Baptist Church, 1427 County Line Road, Keysville. Many groups will be performing. Everyone is welcome. Dinner will be served.

FEBRUARY 5

MONDAY MATINEE MOVIE, 11 a.m.-1 p.m., at the Farmville library. Bring your own snacks. This week: “Boss Baby.”

FEBRUARY 6

BEEKEEPERS TO MEET, 7 p.m. at the Prince Edward County Extension Office across from Lowe’s in Farmville. The program will be “What’s Blooming?” Anyone who has bees or is interested in bees is welcome. For more information call Mary Jane Morgan at (434) 315-1433 or visit Facebook.

STORY TIME, 10:30 a.m. at Buckingham library. Children ages 0-5 and a caregiver are invited to share stories and rhymes together.

LUNCH AND LEARN, noon-1 p.m. at Buckingham library. Each week of the month will be a different topic with a featured speaker and then everyone can share, fellowship and enjoy. Coffee and water provided. Bring a bag lunch.

STORY TIME, 10:30 a.m. at Farmville library. Children ages 0-5 and a caregiver are invited to share stories and rhymes together.

MOVIE MATINEE, 11 a.m.-2 p.m., at the Farmville library. Bring your own lunch or snacks. This week: “Boss Baby.”

LEGO CLUB, 3:30-5 p.m. at the Farmville library. Kids ages 12 and under can drop by after school to build with the library’s collection of bricks and see what challenges await. Don’t bring bricks from home.

FEBRUARY 8

FEBRUARY 10

FIFTH PASTORAL ANNIVERSARY, 2:30 p.m. at The Midway Baptist Church, 837 Guinea Road with guest minister the Rev. Dr. Calvin Gray, pastor of New Jerusalem Baptist Church in Appomattox, along with his choir. The worship leader will be Dr. Cavell Philips, assistant pastor of the Richmond Christian Center and Gospel Radio Announcer on UpBeat 106.5 every Sunday morning.
