A 39-year-old Prospect resident was sentenced to an additional 12 months in jail in Lunenburg Circuit Court on a revocation of a suspended sentence for violating conditions of his supervised probation and for failing to be of good behavior since his original conviction of burglary and grand larceny in 2014.
According to Lunenburg County Commonwealth’s Attorney Robert Clement, Kevin W. Baker violated his good behavior condition by incurring new criminal charges in Nottoway County including, burglary, grand larceny, destruction of property, and petit larceny third offense. He also tested positive for opiates, amphetamines and buprenorphine, and missed appointments with his probation officer.
He also still owes $253.30 in restitution to the victim in the 2014 case in Lunenburg.
Baker’s prior criminal history includes convictions of Assault and Battery of Family Member, Destruction of Property, two counts of Grand Larceny in Prince Edward County in 2014, the original Lunenburg convictions, and a number of probation violations.
