Moton Community Banquet 2018
The Robert Russa Moton Museum invites you to our seventh annual Moton Community Banquet. March 10, 2018 at the Longwood University Health and Fitness Center.
This night brings together all members of our community to recognize our donors and to honor our local civil rights history when the courage and sacrifices of young people and their families expanded equality for all Americans.
This year our keynote speaker will be Mrs. Nadine Marsh-Carter. Mrs. Marsh-Carter is the daughter of the Honorable Henry Marsh, one of the lawyers in the Griffin v. County School Board of Prince Edward, and serves as the chief executive officer of Children’s Home Society of Richmond. She is also a former member of the Richmond City School Board and a community advocate.
“Show your support for the Banquet by becoming a sponsor, purchasing a table, purchasing an individual ticket or advertising in our souvenir,” officials said in a press release.
If you would like to advertise in our souvenir program, become a sponsor, or purchase a table, contact Sherre Atkins, Guest Services Manager at (434) 315- 8775 at ext. 6 or stop by the museum for a visit. Individual tickets can be purchased through our Eventbrite page www.eventbrite. com/e/2018-moton-community-banquet-tickets-39700656733.
