Laura Mae Shaddinger Layman of Cumberland, VA, passed to her eternal reward, Friday, Jan. 26, 2018, at the age of 86 years. Laura will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 57 years, Nathan E. Layman; her son, Martin Layman (Anna Mary) of Cumberland; her two daughters, Katrina Hege (Conrad) of Orrstown, PA and Sharon Layman of Cumberland; her ten grandchildren; and her sister, Gladys Hostetter of Ivor. Laura was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Those who knew her remember her as someone who cared for and served others.

Visitation was held 5 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, at Oak Hill Mennonite Church, 93 Oak Hill Road, Cumberland, VA, where funeral services will take place 11 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2018.
