Doris Marie Jeter 77, of Richmond, passed away Monday, Jan. 22, 2018. She was preceded in death by her son, Nathaniel E. Whitlow III; and brother, Robert Garris. She is survived by her husband, Rudolph H. Jeter; daughter, Catherine Andrews and her husband, Marc; son, Donald Whitlow and his wife, Jackie; daughter, Doris Ann Coleman; son, Thomas Whitlow and his wife, Stephanie; daughter, Virginia Collins; brothers, James T. Bradley and John Bradley; nine grandchildren, one great-grandchild, several nieces, nephews, cousins; and her extended family of brothers-in-law, Tommy and his wife, Lorraine, Albert, Robert and his wife, Valerie and John. Doris retired from the Department of Corrections in 2002 after 26 years. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and had a love for her furbabies.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 26, 2018, at Bliley’s-Staples Mill, 8510 Staples Mill Rd. where a Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m. Interment private.
