HAMPDEN SYDNEY — Hampden-Sydney College will bring Cantus, a professional all-male vocal octet, to campus for a public workshop with members of the Hampden-Sydney College Chorus on Monday, Feb. 5.

“The workshop will feature educational and collaborative work, which will provide an inside look at how choral ensembles create their music, how they rehearse and improve their sound and what it takes to pull off beautiful performances,” officials said in a press release. “The Men’s Chorus and Cantus will also treat attendees to performances.”

The release cited that members, working without a conductor, rehearse and perform as chamber musicians, each contributing to the entirety of the artistic process.
