Vici Rose Bates Hines of Amelia, VA passed away on Dec. 16, 2017. She was born on January 25, 1948.

She is survived by her husband Jones Edward Hines “Boyblue” of Amelia, VA, children; Anthony Hines of Amelia, Melinda Winn (Steve) of Crewe, Joseph Hines (Kim) of Blackstone, grandchildren; Tyler Hines, Matthew Mays, Joseph Miller and Wesley Winn, a sister Frances McFadden of Appomattox, sister Mary Ann Sudesberry of Farmville, a brother Johnny Bates (Lee-Ann) of Logansport, Indiana and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, Dec. 21, 2017 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Shorter Funeral Home with interment to follow in Trinity Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2017 from 6-8 p.m. at Shorter Funeral Home.
