LYNCHBURG — Highway work requiring road/lane/structure closures is scheduled, weather permitting, for the week of Dec. 18-22. According to a press release, in Buckingham County, crews will perform sign maintenance on U.S. Route 60, will work on Rural Rustic projects on Routes 662 and 644, will cut brush at Andersonville AHQ and work surfaced and respond to customer concerns. In Cumberland County there will be sidewalk upgrades along U.S. Route 60, weather permitting. The release cited that lane closures will require flagging operations. In Prince Edward County, on U.S. Route 460 over Briery Creek only one lane will be used during deck repairs. Signs and other traffic control devices will be in place. Crews will prepare for a Rural Rustic project on Route 691 and cut brush, remove debris, work surfaces and respond to customer concerns throughout the county.
