Robert H. Franklin 85 of Farmville, VA passed away on Nov. 27, 2017. He was born on July 28, 1932 to the late Courtney and Mary Bryant Franklin. He served his country in the US Navy and attended the Farmville Methodist Church. He was a retired entrepreneur of various businesses. He was a strong advocate of the Republican Party where he worked and volunteered. He was a leader in strengthening the party in Virginia.

He is survived by his four children, Wanda F. Dews (Ralph) of Farmville, Robin F. Elliott (John) of Roanoke, Rodney Franklin (Beth), Cathy F. Rollins (Tony) of Fairfax, 13 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his granddaughter Brittany Rollins.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, Dec. 11, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Puckett Funeral Home with interment to follow in Westview Cemetery. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service starting at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to FACES, PO Box 644, Farmville VA 23901.
