Roadwork set for week of Dec. 11

LYNCHBURG — Highway work requiring road/lane/structure closures is scheduled, weather permitting. In Buckingham County crews will perform sign maintenance on Route 60, work on the Rural Rustic project will take place on Route 662 and crews will work surfaces and respond to customer concerns. In Cumberland County there will be sidewalk upgrades on Route 60. The release cited that lane closures will require flagging operations and the work will have an estimated completion of Dec. 22. Crews will also work surfaces and respond to customer concerns throughout the county. In Prince Edward County only one lane will be in use during deck repairs on U.S. Route 360 over Briery Creek. A press release cited signs and other traffic control devices will be in place with an estimated completion date of Dec. 22. On Routes 691, 705 and 784, crews will prepare for Rural Rustic projects. Crews will also work surfaces and respond to customer concerns throughout the county.
