Cartersville held its second annual Old Fashioned Christmas Tree Lighting on Saturday, Dec. 2. “The community came together to light our tree, sing some carols together, observe the live nativity, enjoy some refreshments and even visit with Santa,” officials said in the release. “In its second year, it is great to kick off this Christmas season with our friends and neighbors. We appreciate all the individuals involved in putting this community event together; the many that helped organize it; the HOPE Christmas Tree farm for the donation of the beautiful tree, and I.R Seay Electrical for providing the bucket truck to help put the lights around the tree.”
