Lewis Vincent Marks Jr., 70, of Goochland died Dec. 19, 2017. He worked on Caterpillar heavy equipment for 42 years before retiring in 2012. After retirement, he started “making sawdust” in his workshop, with his friend, Barry Twigg.

He is survived by his wife of over 46 years Dorothy Herndon Marks; three daughters, Jessica Marks, Vanessa Marks and Katherine Polanowski (Sean); sister, Sandra Marks and brother, William Marks (Brenda); niece, Sherry and nephew, Stephen.

Funeral services will be held Dec. 22, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with interment in the church cemetery. To honor his life, please wear something red. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at the Dunkum Funeral Home, Dillwyn.
