LYNCHBURG — Highway work requiring road/lane/structure closures is scheduled, weather permitting, the week of Dec. 4-6. In Buckingham crews will perform sign maintenance on Route 60 and will be working on the Rural Rustic project on Route 662. Crews will cut brush at the Andersonville AHQ. In Prince Edward County, only one lane will be in use on U.S. Route 460 over Briery Creek during deck repairs. According to a press release, signs and other traffic control devices will be in place and there’s an estimated completion date of Dec. 22. On Route 691, 705 and 784, crews will begin preparation for Rural Rustic projects. Throughout Buckingham, Cumberland and Prince Edward counties, crews will work surfaces and ditches, cut brush and respond to customer concerns.
