SOUTH HILL — The Southern Virginia GO Region 3 Executive Committee and Council will hold business meetings Friday, Jan. 5, for the purpose of reviewing the first round of project applications and to conduct general business, including setting the meeting schedule for 2018. According to a press release, both meetings will be held in the first-floor conference room of the Halifax County IDA, 1100 Confroy Drive, South Boston, VA 24592.

“The regional council will meet at 9 a.m.,” officials said in the release. “The executive committee will meet at the end of the regional council meeting, expected to be at 1:30 p.m. Both meetings are open to the public.”

GO Virginia is the commonwealth’s emerging economic development initiative. Southern Virginia GO Region 3 includes the counties of Patrick, Henry, Pittsylvania, Halifax, Mecklenburg, Brunswick, Nottoway, Prince Edward, Lunenburg, Buckingham, Cumberland, Charlotte, Amelia and the cities of Martinsville and Danville.
