Overall winners at the 2017 Jingle Bell Run 5K & 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk on Saturday included, from left, Edward Lane, Caleb Kline and Jennifer Fraley. Out of 49 total runners navigating Farmville’s Avenues in the 5K, the 31-year-old Lane finished first with a time of 18 minutes, nine seconds. Fraley, 38, was the first-place female runner, placing eighth out of all 49 runners with a time of 23:02. Kline, 12, placed first out of 13 participants in the Mile Fun Run/Walk with a time of 9:07. The Farmville Recreation Department organized the event.
