Marie Londeree Kitchen, 87, of Buckingham passed peacefully on Nov. 1, 2017. She was born August 13, 1930 in Buckingham County, a daughter of the late Herman and Lottie Londeree. She was the wife of John D. Kitchen, Jr.

She is survived by her husband; her children, Darlene Hanna Phillips, John D. Kitchen, III (Sonya Faust) and Thomas Lee Kitchen (Karen); sister, Edna Hostetler; grandchildren, Melissa Phillips Ritchie (Adam), Heather Lynn Phillips, John D. Kitchen, IV, Joseph D. Kitchen and Jeremy S. Kitchen (Kara) and great-grandchildren, Grayson and Reese Adkins, Cassidy R. Rose and Layne Kitchen.

Marie was preceded in death by a son, Larry Stephen Hanna and brother, Joseph Londeree.

The family would especially like to thank the wonderful staff at The Woodland Rehabilitation Center in Farmville and the great care of Dr. Eugene Donovan.

A private burial will be held in the Kitchen Family Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the Buckingham County Rescue Squad.
