Church to hold Christmas program

Barry and Linda Miles along with Jane Cooke and her grandson Sam Givens, all of Cumberland and Annie May Miles of Dillwyn all attended Oak Hill Mennonite Church of Cumberland for its asked annual Thanksgiving feast and singing with the Oak Hill Quartet. Everyone enjoyed the food, fellowship and singing.

Browns Chapel United Methodist Church located U.S. Route 15, north of Dillwyn on Route 617, will be hosting its annual Christmas program on Sunday Dec. 3 at 4 p.m. This year’s theme is “It All Happened In The Country” Refreshments to follow in the church fellowship hall. Happy anniversary wishes go out this week James and Virginia Boyles, of Cumberland, and J.R. and Margy Smith, of Farmville, both on Monday.

The Buckingham County Christian Fellowship Association will be hosting its Annual Christmas Banquet on Saturday, Dec. 2 at 1 p.m. at the VFW Hall located at 14405 West James Anderson Highway in Buckingham. All members and their guest are cordially invited to attend and asked to bring a covered dish with the meats and drinks furnished by the association.
