Lancers dominant in quarterfinals

In the quarterfinals of the Big South Championship on Friday, Longwood University’s women’s soccer team dominated and advanced. The No. 3 Lancers (12-4-3) made a statement, controlling both ends of the field en route to a one-sided 3-0 win over visiting No. 6 Charleston Southern University. The win propels the Lancers to the Big South semifinals for the second straight year. They will face No. 2 Liberty University on Friday at 7 p.m. at Bryan Park in Greensboro, North Carolina.
