Prince Edward County High School’s varsity girls volleyball team has enjoyed the advantage that comes with playing at home this season. Entering Thursday’s home match against Nottoway High School, the Lady Eagles (9-8) had successfully defended their home court in six out of eight opportunities. Their most recent victory came at home on Oct. 5 when they went the distance against Randolph-Henry High School and won 3-2. Pictured at right mounting a formidable defense against the Lady Statesmen are Kenzie Morris, No. 14, and Shauneice Beasley, No. 21, as Abby Roach, No. 23, stands poised, awaiting her opportunity to contribute to the Lady Eagles’ effort.
