Eddye Lue Danzy Collette, 80 of Meherrin, was called home on Sept. 30, 2017. She was born in Abbeville, AL to the late Edd and Minnie Danzy.

She leaves to cherish her love and memories, two devoted children, James Renee (Cherly) of Odenton, MD and Alexandria Nicole of Richmond, VA; sister, Mable Jean Chalmers (Thomas) of Rahway, NJ, three grandchildren, Nakia Lee, Nicholas Collette, both of Richmond, Dennis Malz of Bremerhaven, Germany, four great-grandchildren, Stephen Lee, Aaron McLaughlin, Shanyia McLaughlin and Justin McLaughlin, all of Richmond, two great-great grandchildren, Kingston Lee and Ry’Lnn Abrams, both of Richmond, two nieces, two nephews, six great nieces, five great nephews and a host of beloved cousins and friends.

Services were held Sunday, Oct. 8, 2017 at New Bethel Baptist Church, Meherrin with Pastor Haney Thomas, Jr. officiating with interment in the church cemetery.

Wilson Funeral Home served the family.
