FALL BOOK SALE, 11 a.m. sponsored by the Friends of the Farmville Library. The organization will also be taking donations for hurricane relief.

FIRST FLYERS FLIGHT RALLY, 10 a.m. at the Farmville Regional Airport. Free airplane rides, hot dogs and drinks.

45TH HISTORIC APPOMATTOX RAILROAD FESTIVAL, 9 a.m. The two-day event commemorates the Norfolk and Western Railroad donation of the Appomattox Depot to the Town of Appomattox in 1973. Many festival events.
