The third annual Ralph M. Hamlett Memorial 5K Fun Run and Walk was held Sept. 16 at High Bridge Trail State Park in Pamplin.
Following are the results from the male open division: 1st—Zac Longwell, 17:29.8; 2nd—John McInyre, 20:46.7, 3rd—Tim Cheatham, 24:46.4.
Following are the results from the female open division: 1st—Elizabeth McElfresh, 22:35.9; 2nd—Madison Martin, 25:15.8; 3rd—Heather Swanberg, 25:30.0.
Age group winners included Dempsey Kendrick (Male 12 and younger, 27:58.1), Colleen Caldwell (Female 13-19, 33:21.6 ), Samantha Huffman (Female 20-29, 38:26.7), Brad Dorris (Male 20-29, 27:23.1), Jenny Andrews (Female 30-39, 27:59.1), Michael Shetley (Male 30-39, 36:52.9), Crystal Madison (Female 40-49, 30:00.5), Maureen Maiorano (Female 50-59, 26:53.8), Kevin Conrad (Male 50 to 59, 44:00.1), Priscilla Jones (Female 60-69, 33:04.8), Billy Scruggs (Male 60-69, 24:57.6), Lynn Armstrong, running with Airedale Louie (Female 70 and older, 30:33.0) and William Gray (Male 70 and older, 43:12.9.)
