Tigers named to NABC Honors Court
The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) announced the 2016-17 NABC Honors Court, recognizing men’s collegiate basketball student-athletes who excelled in academics during the past season, and the court included three Hampden-Sydney College (H-SC) basketball players. Juniors Gui Guimaraes (Ribierao Preto, Brazil/Miller School), Nick Chase (Wilmington, North Carolina/Coastal Christian) and Logan Samuels (Bowie, Maryland/Potomac), pictured above, all represented the Tigers. In order to be named to the Honors Court, a student-athlete must meet a high standard of academic criteria that includes being a junior or senior academically while boasting a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher.
