‘A dangerous way’ to proceed
Editor:
The terrible density of the Martin project is a dangerous way for us to proceed.
Our little town has grown so beautifully in the 29 years that we’ve lived here. Main Street is vibrant and healthy, the historic homes give us a lovely setting and it’s refreshing to see the students walking to campus.
The upcoming loft apartments and the ones on Main Street are exactly what we need. We do not need a huge glob of people with all of their cars right at that critical intersection.
Other colleges have ruined their downtown settings, causing the residents to flee to the suburbs. Don’t let it happen to Farmville. I wish that my husband were here to join me in saying this.
