Visitations, fellowship noted

Barry Miles, along with Jane Cooke and her grandson Sam Givens, all of Cumberland, Susie Taylor and Patricia Woodson, both of Dillwyn, and Miles’ cousin, Cheryl Canipe, from Henrico, enjoyed an evening meal at Cracker Barrel Restaurant of Richmond on Thursday.

Happy birthday wishes go out this week to Cathy Trammel, of Farmville, on Saturday; Chuck Fairchild, of New Canton, on Sunday; Jo Lang, of New Canton, on Wednesday; Gladys Absher, of Dillwyn, on Thursday; and Bradley Carter, of North Carolina, also on Thursday.

Annie May Miles, of Dillwyn, along with Jane Cooke and Barry and Linda Miles, of Cumberland, spent the afternoon in Richmond with an evening meal at Golden Corral on May 24.

The Buckingham County Christian Fellowship Association, a non-profit organization, will host its regular monthly meeting Monday at 5 p.m. at Browns UMC., U.S. Route 15 on Gravel Hill Road. All members are asked to bring a covered dish for the meal. The June program will follow the meal. Happy anniversary wishes go out this week to Joe and Gladys Fulcher, of Prospect, on Thursday.

On May 26, Nichole and George Dickson, along with Jane Cooke, Barry and Linda Miles, all of Cumberland, enjoyed great fellowship and a great meal at Vito’s Italian Restaurant in Cumberland.

Loaves of Love food pantry is operated by the Seventh Day Adventist Church at 2294 Cartersville Road. This food pantry is designed for Cumberland County residents, which includes Cartersville. The next food distribution will be held Wednesday from 3-4:30 p.m. This will be our final distribution as our food bank is closing.
