Second murder suspect arrested

Police apprehended in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania the second suspect in connection to the shooting death of a 35-year-old Pamplin man on June 20.
According to a Wednesday Prince Edward County Sheriff’s Office press release, Mario Lamon Timothy Redfearn was apprehended without incident on a charge of first-degree murder.
Redfearn is the second murder suspect arrested in connection to the May 11 death of Darnell M. Green.
According to the press release, six other people have been arrested in addition to Redfearn.
Simon Carl Lark, 23, was charged May 11 with first-degree murder and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony in connection with the death of Green, according to Sheriff Wesley Reed.
“My officers responded, and they found the victim … (Green), 35 years old, of Pamplin, had been shot,” Reed said. “He was transported to (Centra) Southside Community Hospital, (where) he was pronounced dead at that point in time.”
Reed said at the scene of the incident that deputies had one person of interest under arrest, and they were looking for several others.
Reed said deputies arrived at 170 Holiday Hills Drive following a call received at approximately 2:04 p.m. on May 11.
The release cited that the sheriff’s office received assistance from the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force in Philadelphia, the Virginia State Police and the Appomattox County Sheriff’s Office.
