Gertrue Wootton Carroll, 90, of Buckingham, died May 30, 2017.  She was born May 26, 1927 in Buckingham County, daughter of the late Edward H. and Mary Branch Wootton.  She was the widow of Percy C. Carroll.

She is survived by her son, Winston C. Carroll and his wife, Linda; two granddaughters; five great-grandsons and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by three sisters, Agnes Carroll, Sadie Carroll and Macie Taylor and two brothers, George Wootton and Herman Wootton.

Funeral services will be held Friday, June 2, 2017 at 11 a.m. at the Dunkum Funeral Home with interment in the Mt. Tabor U.M.C. Cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church. Dunkum Funeral Home is serving the family.
