Carroll Hamilton Wright, 73, of Farmville, passed away on Tuesday, June 13, 2017. He was born on October 29, 1943 to the late Wilbur and Martha Lowe Wright of Farmville.

He operated his own business, Wright’s Excavating, along with his wife and son. Carroll loved his family, and loved spending time with his three grandchildren. He loved being outdoors, working and fishing, anytime he could sneak it in. 

Carroll was preceded in death by his son, Steven T. Wright, and four brothers, Wilbur Jr. Wright, Richard Wright, Leroy Wright and Shelton Wright.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Louise Berkley Wright; his daughter, Lisa C. Wilkerson (Dwight) of Farmville; his brother Virgil Wright (Ruth) of Cumberland; three grandchildren, Kasie Wright, Brittany Wright, and Daniel Wilkerson; his daughter-in-law, Lynette Wright; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews, and a friend and longtime employee, Paul Langlois.

A funeral service was held on June 16, 2017 at the chapel of Puckett Funeral Home with interment to follow at College Presbyterian Church Cemetery.  Puckett Funeral Home is serving the family.  www.puckettfh.com.
