The highly successful 2017 season for Prince Edward County High School’s varsity boys soccer team came to an end with two losses over the holiday weekend. In the Quad Rivers Conference 34 tournament championship game Friday, the second-seeded Eagles lost 3-1 to host and No. 1 seed Goochland High School. By reaching the finals, junior Chaney Sheehan, pictured above, and Prince Edward had already secured a regional berth. The team visited Maggie L. Walker Governor’s School on Monday afternoon, falling 7-0 in the Region 2A East quarterfinal. The Eagles finished the season with an overall record of 17-3.
