Spaghetti supper set at Prospect

The Lord has certainly blessed us with some beautiful weather.

Mark your calendar for April 29, as there will be a spaghetti supper at the Prospect Firehouse from 5-7 p.m. The supper will include salad, bread, tea, lemonade and dessert. The cost is a donation at the door. This event is held by the Prospect Fire Department Auxiliary

The Farmville Women’s Club met recently at the Farmville-Prince Edward Community Library. Peggy Kelsey led the devotional with Justine Young, from Piedmont Senior Resources, giving the program.

Mr. and Mrs. Charles Smith hosted Easter dinner at their home along with their children, Charles Jr., Christina and Brianna. Invited guests were Brianna’s friend, Josh, and Charles’ parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Smith.

The small group from Faith Bible Fellowship had their monthly meeting at Merk’s on Monday evening. Attending were Mr. and Mrs. John Utzinger, Mr. and Mrs. Richard McClintock, Mrs. Hilde Watson and Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Smith.

John and Polly Marsden spent the weekend visiting her brother in North Carolina.

Mr. and Mrs. Richard Stockton enjoyed having lunch on Sunday with their son and his family; Lon and Mary Jo Stockton and Sean.

Appomattox P.E. Presbyterian Church at Tuggle had a large crowd on Easter Sunday. Harlan Austin brought the Easter message. Mr. Austin’s wife Diane accompanied him to Appomattox P.E.

On April 16, Steve Bolt took the ladies to lunch at Bojangles. Those joining Steve were Mrs. Flora Bolt, Sharon Canterbury, Judy Bolt, Jennifer Bolt, Haley Murdock and Payden Murdock.

Jeni Bolt and sons Joshua and Jacob spent the weekend with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Eikmier, in Henrico.

Friends and neighbors are praying for a speedy recovery for Don Meadows, Steve Martin, Gary Fiscus, Jean P. Derrenbacker, Betty Jean Bolt and Mildred Harvey Shanks.

The members of Appomattox P.E. Presbyterian Church at Tuggle invite you to worship with them each Sunday. Jim Blackwell will be the guest speaker.

The membership of Davis Memorial Presbyterian Church at Prospect invites you to come and worship with them every Sunday; Sunday School is at 10 a.m. with worship at 11 a.m.

Calvary Chapel-Farmville invites you to worship with them on Sunday mornings at 10:30 a.m. They invite you to join them each week on Wednesday evening for Bible Study for all age groups at 7 p.m. The church is located at 302 Industrial Park Road, in the former Stackpole-Carbone building.
