The National Day of Prayer is an annual observance held on the first Thursday in May, inviting all people to pray for our nation. This day has been a vital part of our heritage since the first call to prayer in 1775, when the Continental Congress asked the colonies to pray for wisdom in forming this nation.

This call to prayer has continued throughout our history as America has turned to God in times of peace and in conflict.

The National Day of Prayer belongs to all Americans. It is a day that transcends differences, bringing together citizens from all political and ethnic backgrounds.

Heritage Baptist Church is inviting the entire community to gather in its sanctuary for a time of prayer.

On May 4 between 7 a.m.-7 p.m., come by and pray for 10 minutes or 30 minutes or for one hour as your schedule allows. Everyone is encouraged to be a part of this opportunity to unite together in prayer as we come before God, humbly seeking His guidance for our leaders and His mercy and grace upon us as a people.
