Longwood University’s men’s tennis team used Sunday to set another new milestone in a season now defined by them for the fast-developing program. The Lancers held a 3-0 lead on the road over Norfolk State University when freshman Noah Petralia delivered the match-clinching blow with his No. 6 singles triumph, giving the Lancers their 13th win of the season, a new program record in Longwood’s Division I-era. It also ties the all-time school record, and one regular-season match still remains Wednesday at 3 p.m. at Radford University. Other Lancers recording singles wins Sunday included Amadeo Blasco, at No. 1, Florian Uffer, at No. 2, Arthur Bardellotto, at No. 3, and Julian Farthing, at No. 4.
