Buckingham County High School’s girls tennis team has wasted no time in putting wins together this season, starting its 2017 campaign with a 5-1 record.

In their final two matches before spring break, the Lady Knights twice defeated William Campbell High School 9-0, first March 27 at home and then April 5 on the road.

Earlier in March, they topped Prince Edward County High School 5-4, Nelson County High School 6-3 and Altavista High School 8-0, a match abbreviated due to darkness.

The Lady Knights’ only loss came 6-3 to host Goochland High School.
