I wish to express my gratitude to the Dillwyn, Toga and Glenmore fire departments for the prevention of the total destruction of my residence.

The fire departments were on scene in a very short period of time and able to put out a serious house fire originating in the attic, which destroyed a couple of rooms. 

Our fire departments are comprised completely of volunteers, and we should all be grateful to the brave men and women who sacrifice their time and energy to help us when an emergency arises. 

I wish by this publication to personally thank each of the volunteers of the fire department who arrived on the scene and thank all others who often and willingly sacrifice their well-being to come to the aid of others.
