The Fuqua Middle School Band competed in the “Music in the Parks” competition in Williamsburg. The regional competition had schools attending from across the eastern seaboard, according to a press release. “At the competition, Fuqua won first place in the Class A Middle School Concert Band Category with a superior rating. Fuqua also won the overall trophy for all middle school instrumental ensembles. The Fuqua Band had the highest score of any ensemble regardless of age or category at the weekend competition.” “I am really proud of our students and their attention to detail in the music. These students have been working great together and have pushed themselves to be better musicians,” said Camille Rabon, the Fuqua Band director.
