Clay handiwork is one of many art forms on display at the Longwood Center for the Visual Arts (LCVA).

Many in the Farmville community reserved Friday evening for appetizers, drinks, a chance to view art from college seniors and spend time with friends during the Longwood Center for the Visual Art’s (LCVA) Wine and Brew event.

The event, from 5-7 p.m., offered several selections of finger foods and a cash bar with choices ranging from beer to Diseno Malbec.

Detailed painted portraits and skilled claywork were among the artwork created by Longwood University’s seniors in the department of theatre, art and graphic and animation design.

Don Blaheta, computer science professor at Longwood, said the event unifies people in the Farmville community.

“I like how different Farmville circles come together,” Blaheta said.
