Climate march guests announced

Washington, D.C. — The Peoples Climate March (PCM) announced Thursday the 10 speakers who are set share their stories to the press on Saturday prior to the start of the planned march. Speakers represent many communities that are on the frontline of climate change, according to the release.”
“The press conference will be held from 10:30-11 a.m. at Union Square, in front of the Capitol Reflecting Pool,” PCM officials said. “There will be a media availability of the speakers, senior leadership of the 50 organizations that comprise the PCM Steering Committee and other notables from 9:15-10 a.m.”
According to a PCM press release, the speakers will include the Rev. Leo Woodberry of Kingdom Living Temple, Bold Louisiana Executive Director Cherri Foytlin, League of Conservation Voters Volunteer Arturo Javier Gonzalez, Iraq Veterans Against the War Board Member Claude Copeland, GreenFaith Muslim Outreach Director Nana Firman, Empower D.C. Organizer Kari Fulton, SEIU 32BJ Member and Political Organizer Judith Howell, N.Y. State Nurses Association Nurse and Member Nella Pineda-Marcon, Black Lives Matter D.C. Organizer Jazzlyn Lindsey and University of Miami Doctoral Candidate Kilan Ashad-Bishop.
