April showers bring May flowers

The Lord has certainly blessed us with some much-needed rain. Remember, April showers bring May flowers.

Wedding bells rang out at the Appomattox P.E. Presbyterian Church in Tuggle on Saturday as Jennifer Page Bolt became the bride of Trae Jones. Her grandmother, Mrs. Flora Bolt, was happy she was able to attend the wedding as well as the rehearsal dinner held at Charleys Waterfront Café on Friday evening.

Mark your calendar as Saturday there will be a spaghetti supper at the Prospect Firehouse from 5-7 p.m. The supper will include salad, bread, tea, lemonade and dessert. The cost is a donation at the door. The Prospect Fire Department Auxiliary organizes the supper.

Last Wednesday, Pat Smith enjoyed lunch at the home of Nancy Pisano. Mary Jo Stockton celebrated her birthday last Monday with many pleasant surprises, one being the lovely cake her son Sean made for her.

Flora Bolt was luncheon guest of her daughter-in-law Judy Bolt on Sunday following the worship service.
