There were numerous tasks that many hardworking people performed that led to the Hotel Weyanoke’s renovation project gaining support from state leaders and the Virginia Tourism Corporation (VTC) in its involvement in the Tourism Development Financing Program recently — a partnership that’s going to benefit Farmville for many years to come. There’s one person, in particular, who deserves special credit, we think. “I want to recognize one individual that did all the work on this project,” Town Manager Gerald Spates said March 8, recognizing Town Planner Cindy Morris. “Cindy worked very hard … and we couldn’t have done it without you.
