Rita Jamerson Huskey, 57, of Buckingham lost her courageous battle with cancer on March 19, 2017.  She was born September 21, 1959, a daughter of Lucille Rush Jamerson and the late Walter R. Jamerson. 

Rita was a rural mail carrier, but her true love was being a caring and devoted daughter, wife, mother and grandmother. 

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, Terry O. Huskey; two children, Amber H. Hucks and her husband, Chris and Jesse Huskey and his wife, Melissa; sister, Debra R. Jamerson and her pride and joy, her four grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Nicholas and Jackson Hucks and Allison Huskey.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 23, at 11 a.m. in the Dunkum Funeral Home with interment in the Huskey Family Cemetery, 1179 Troublesome Creek Road, Buckingham, VA. 

The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 7 until 9 p.m. at the Dunkum Funeral Home, Dillwyn.
