Mae Rutherford, of Cumberland, celebrated her 96th birthday on Thursday, March 9. Welcome home to Ailene Snoddy, of Arvonia, who returned from a 10-day unforgettable, relaxing and enjoyable trip to the Bahamas.

The Cumberland County Community Food Bank partners with The Central Virginia Food Bank.  A FeedMore Program of Richmond will distribute food to Cumberland residents on Monday from 11:30 a.m. until all food is gone. The food distribution will take place at the old Cumberland County Elementary School cafeteria next door to the gym, located at 1874 Anderson Highway. You must have already registered to get food or you must see Director Jerry Seal.
