FARMVILLE — A joint Taxi and Bus Service Committee — made up of Farmville and Prince Edward County officials — will meet jointly Thursday, March 30 at 6:30 p.m. in the Farmville Town Manager’s Office at 116 N. Main St.

The creation of the joint committee stems from concerns about public transportation and Greyhound buses no longer coming to Farmville.

According to minutes from the Jan. 10 board of supervisors’ meeting, Farmville District 801 Supervisor and Vice Chairman Pattie Cooper-Jones suggested a committee be appointed to examine the issue.
