Lady Eagles start season with losses to JRD foes

The Prince Edward County High School varsity softball team is off to an 0-2 start to the 2017 season after opening its schedule on the road against Central Lunenburg High School on Thursday and hosting Nottoway High School on Friday. The Lady Eagles fell 7-1 to the Lady Chargers. Shauneice Beasley, pictured above, and the Lady Eagles enjoyed the home field advantage Friday, but the Lady Cougars proved to be a significant challenge and left with a 12-1 victory. Prince Edward hosted Bluestone High School on Tuesday, and it hosts Goochland High School on Thursday at 5 p.m.
