Scott Harwood Jr., of Harwood & Son Insurance, recently successfully completed the annual education requirement of the Society of Certified Insurance Counselors (CIC).

“To earn this prestigious designation, Harwood attended over 100 hours of instruction covering all phases of the insurance business and passed five comprehensive examinations,” officials said in a press release. “Additionally, the National Alliance requires 20 hours of instruction annually to maintain the designation.”

According to the release, Harwood, a 23-year veteran of the industry, has been a CIC since 2002.

“He believes the insurance or risk management profession is best served by those who acquire and maintain a high standard of professionalism by meeting the education requirements of the Certified Insurance Counselors Program.”
