Linda Miles, of Cumberland, and Annie May Miles, of Dillwyn, visited in the home of Junior and Nancy Midkiff, of Cumberland, and Nancy’s son, Yancy, on Sunday afternoon. A nice visit was had by all.

Welcome home to Angie Sprouse, of Buckingham, who spent several days at Centra Southside Community Hospital in Farmville. She suffered a major fall with one broken ankle and the other foot severely sprung.

The Buckingham County Christian Fellowship Association, a non- profit organization, will host its regular monthly meeting Saturday March 4 at 1 p.m. at Mount Tabor Baptist Church, 4898 Bridgeport Road, Arvonia.

All members are asked to attend and bring a covered dish for the meal. The March program will follow and the beginning signups for the June trip.

Shiloh New Covenant Church located at 665 Anderson Hwy., in partnership with Central Virginia FeedMore Program, will operate The Shiloh New Covenant Food Pantry Commodity Supplemental Food Program for seniors age 60 years and older. On Monday, March 13, the program will accept applications for new clients. Clients must be seniors 60 and older who are a Cumberland County resident and income quality. You must bring a form of ID and proof of your monthly income. Also, when you become qualified for this food program, you will be contacted by telephone from the food bank director as to when you can start your pick up for the food.
