Brush fire reported at High Bridge Trail
PROSPECT — A brush fire was reported Friday between the High Bridge Trail State Park and homes that border the opposite side of the woods in Prospect.
According to Prospect Volunteer Firefighter Chris Morgan, the fire department received the call at 2:48 p.m.
Morgan said no houses were damaged in the fire that burned about two-tenths of an acre.
“All structures were protected and none of that burned,” Morgan said.
Morgan said the fire was still under investigation and they hadn’t determined what the cause of the fire was.
In addition to the Prospect Volunteer Fire Department, the Pamplin Volunteer Fire Department and the Department of Forestry also responded.
