Bennie Donald Waller, Sr. passed away on March 24 at age 78. He was born on September 10, 1938 in Halifax County, Virginia. His primary work was tobacco farming, but the entire community of Cody, Virginia leaned on him when something needed to be fixed. He was a jack-of-all trades and was happy to help anyone in need.

Mr. Waller is lovingly remembered by his devoted wife of 52 years, Carolyn Ann Waller; his son, Bennie (Louise) Waller, Jr.; granddaughter, Wellsley; sisters, Helen Miller, Jean Waller, and Arlene (Rupert) Harris and brother Kenneth (Jane) Waller, as well as a host of loving nieces, nephews, and extended family.

He was proceeded in death by father and mother, Otis and Gracie Guthrie Waller as well as his sisters;  Beatrice (Clarence) Jordan, Gerldine Waller, Gwendolyn Rogers, and brothers Curtis Waller and Winfrey (Cora Lee) Waller.
