The Richmond Astronomy Club (RAC) will be at the James River State park on Saturday, April 1.

The event will be held at 7:30 p.m. at the park, 104 Green Hill Drive, Gladstone in Buckingham County.

“People have been fascinated by the night sky for thousands of years,” officials said in a press release. “This has led us to create stories about the constellations and make amazing discoveries about our universe. RAC will show … a variety of stars and many other things.”

The event is free and open to the public.
