High Bridge Trail State Park will offer a stroll along the Prospect portion of the trail Sunday, April 2 at 2 p.m.

Meet at the Prospect village parking lot at the trail.

“Come to Prospect for a stroll along the trail, in the village, with a park ranger,” park officials said in a release. “Learn how the South Side Railroad became the genesis of a once thriving community west of Farmville. See old storefronts and the remains of the original train depot. Just west of the village stands the well preserved remains of the railroad signal line first erected in the early 1930s … Comfortable shoes are recommended and always remember to bring water.
