Ronald Lee Cassel Jr., also known as Ronnie or “Radio Man,” 46, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 9, 2017. He was born on October 24, 1970 to Ronald L. and Virginia Lauman Cassel in Portsmouth.

He was an athlete in the Special Olympics since he was eight years old. He graduated from Cumberland High School in 1990. He had a “cocktail personality,” infectious smile and loved life. Ronnie was loved unconditionally and will be missed by his many friends and family.

He is survived by his parents; two sisters, Lisa Addessi (Nick) from Ohio, and Jody Cassel from North Chesterfield; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

A funeral service was held on Sunday, February 12 in the chapel of Puckett Funeral Home.
